About the photoshoot
✦ After I receive your request, we choose a time for a call of about 20–30 minutes (usually on Zoom). I’ll ask you about your pet(s): what they like to do, their personality, how you spend time together, and what moments you’d like to capture. You’ll also be able to ask your own questions. We’ll talk about possible locations and a tentative date for the shoot. You don’t have to make the final decision during the call — you’re welcome to think it over and message me afterward.
✦ The location can be anywhere: a beach, a field, a forest, a street, a park, or your home. The most important thing is that both you and your dog feel comfortable there. If your dog walks well off leash and you prefer an outdoor shoot, it’s a great idea to choose a place where they can run freely. It can also be a place you simply want to preserve in photos as a memory.

✦ Timing. The shooting time depends a bit on the location. If we’re shooting outdoors on a sunny day, the best time is after sunrise and before sunset, when the light is soft. If it’s not a sunny day, we can shoot almost anytime. If the weather changes, that’s totally okay — it has its own advantages. For home shoots, daytime or morning works best.
✦ Clothing. I recommend choosing clothes you love and feel comfortable in. Maybe you have a favorite outfit or dress — feel free to go with that. If it’s hard to decide and you’d like some guidance, here are a few suggestions. Calm, neutral colors usually work best, especially when they harmonize with the location. These are often shades ranging from light sand to brown, from white to black, and muted tones of green, blue, and brick red. Please pay attention to all the colors you and your pet are wearing — it’s better not to have too much variation: 2–3 main colors are enough. Below, you can see a palette with color examples.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask and send photos — we can also look at them during our call :)

✦ Leash recommendation. If you use a retractable leash, it’s best to keep the leash loose during the shoot rather than pulled tight — straight, tense lines draw a lot of attention and can sometimes make it look like your dog is pulling. So please keep this in mind during the session, or consider bringing a regular leash instead.
✦ On the day of the shoot, we meet, spend a nice time together, and take photos. I gently guide you and suggest what to do when needed, and if everything flows naturally without my involvement, I don’t interfere and simply photograph. After the session, I edit the images and send you a link to a photo album for download. The number of photos depends on the package you choose (you can find details in the “Book a photoshoot” section).
✦ My English is still not perfect, but it’s good enough to understand each other. I can also talk a little bit in Italian and I’m learning Dutch.
